One order, roll to carton.
Every stage of production is recorded against the order in our ERP. Below is what a buyer sees for one sample order: the actual record types, department by department. The figures are illustrative. The structure is real.
Fabric intake
| Roll | Mill lot | Width cm | GSM | Shade | Defect points / 100 m² | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| R-4471 | EG-MILL-2211 | 182 | 181 | A | 8 | Released |
| R-4472 | EG-MILL-2211 | 181 | 179 | A | 11 | Released |
| R-4473 | EG-MILL-2211 | 183 | 184 | A | 27 | Held |
| R-4474 | EG-MILL-2211 | 182 | 180 | A | 6 | Released |
Every roll is weighed, measured and run through the inspection machine. A roll above the defect threshold is held and returned to the mill. The buyer sees the roll list and the mill lot, which is also the cotton origin record.
Cutting
| Lay | Marker | Plies | Marker length m | Pieces | Consumption kg / pc | Rolls used |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| L-01 | MK-0142-A · S M L XL | 120 | 9.4 | 1,920 | 0.212 | R-4471, R-4472 |
| L-02 | MK-0142-A · S M L XL | 120 | 9.4 | 1,920 | 0.214 | R-4472, R-4474 |
| L-03 | MK-0142-B · XS XXL | 80 | 6.1 | 640 | 0.219 | R-4474 |
Marker efficiency and actual consumption are known on the order, not estimated after it. Each cut piece bundle carries the lay number, so any garment can be traced back to its rolls.
Sewing
| Line | Operators | Target / hr | Actual / hr | Efficiency | Cumulative |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 07 | 28 | 420 | 402 | 96% | 11,860 |
| 08 | 28 | 420 | 415 | 99% | 12,040 |
Output is logged hourly by operation. Each style has a full operation breakdown, so we know the work content before the first piece is sewn and the buyer sees the line running against plan.
In-line quality control
| Time | Line | Operation | Fault | Pieces | Action |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 09:40 | 07 | Neck binding | Uneven binding width | 6 | Reworked, operator retrained |
| 11:15 | 08 | Side seam | Skipped stitch | 3 | Reworked, machine tension reset |
| 14:05 | 07 | Hem | Puckering | 4 | Reworked |
A fault is caught at the operation causing it, not at the end of the run. Every entry names the inspector and the corrective action.
Print and trims
| Item | Reference | Test | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chest print, 1 colour | PR-0142-01 · rotary | Wash test 5 cycles, crock test | Pass |
| Neck label, woven | TR-0142-NL | Wash fastness | Pass |
| Care label | TR-0142-CL | Content and origin check against tech pack | Pass |
| Size stickers | TR-0142-SS | Barcode scan | Pass |
Printing and embroidery happen in the building, so the print run is a record on the same order, not an invoice from a third party.

A carton number resolves to its final inspection lot, its sewing line, its cutting lays and its fabric rolls. That is what "every stone in place" means: ask about any carton and the answer comes from the record.

Buyers with orders in production receive access to the Silkstone ERP portal: production status by stage, inline and final quality reports, and shipment records. Reports are exported on request in the buyer's own format.

Fibre origin and mill records are already held per order. As Digital Product Passport requirements arrive in Europe, the same records will carry through to garment level for buyers who need them.
